… or so it seemed!  Long time no update.  My life has been so busy since last fall.  Shortly after Rob and I bought a house, we discovered we were pregnant!  Big surprise for everyone, but a happy one.  Our beautiful daughter was born on June 21, 2007.  Her name is Madison Claire.  She has a full head of red hair!

 I’ve started a profile on MySpace to keep in touch with all of my friends and family.  You can visit my profile here.  I’ll be updating Inkymouse less and less in the future, and eventually will close the site.  I’ve begun building a professional portfolio website for myself, called Orange Ink Studio.  Still lots of work to do.  I need to replace all of the filler content with my own stuff, but the general layout and design is complete and I’m happy with it.  Now that I’m no longer pregnant and Madison is almost 2 months old, I’m getting back into a good routine and will begin working on art again soon.  I have plans to expand my collection of Childrens’ Wall Art and start selling prints again.  I might even open an Orange Ink store sometime down the road.

Rob and I finally bought a house and are getting ready to move!  There are photos of our new home in the gallery under ‘Photo Album - Us.’  These pictures were taken prior to closing, so all of furniture and decor you se belongs to the seller.  I claim no responsibility for bad decorating!  I’ll update again in a few weeks with new photos.

 My time with the Art Institute Online is coming to a close.  I graduate December 16!  I just completed my portfolio class and I’ve uploaded all of my design work to my gallery here.  These are screenshots of my PDF portfolio:

I’ve also been working hard at building my Children’s Wall Art portfolio and have sold numerous prints on eBay already!  Very exciting.  I’m building a website for my design business, you can check out my progress at http://www.orangeinkstudio.com.

I got tired of updating my website the ‘olf fashioned’ way, so I’m switching to WordPress.  I found this stunning template called OrangeSky designed by Nao of http://blog.detlog.org/.   It’s very me.  I love the hot oranges and reds in the banner image, but also the soft feel of the oriental blue. 

Maybe I’ll update my website more often now?  HA!  I’m at least working on getting my gallery back up.  Stay tuned.
